What is the best way to get a quote?

It is always a good idea to have some consistent written document or drawing to give to any prospective contractor that shows or states the scope of work. Without this document we are giving you a price for an orange while others are giving you a price for an apple.

How long will my project take?

This is a tricky question because most contractors do not take into consideration the potential for changes to the scope of work. At Heartwood Construction we strive to give you a comprehensive understanding at the beginning of your project so that you will feel comfortable in the time allotted.

How long do you guarantee the work?

The state of California requires contractors to guarantee a completed home for one year. At Heartwood Construction we follow this guideline and additionally we’d like to have 100% satisfaction. We’ll go above and beyond to make that happens. We’d like to also say that if we cannot build it to last, then we should be responsible for replacing it.

Should I remodel or build new?

Depending on the year and location of your residence, the difference can be drastic. The factors that go into deciding this issue are very specific from job to job. For the best solution for your needs, please contact us for an initial consultation.
